Before woodburning, we draw our design and/or lettering on a large sheet of art paper. When we are satisfied with that, we go through our extensive inventory of exotic woods. We are looking for just the right wood, shape, size, style, woodgrain, edges an more. We then adjust the woodburning tool to just the proper temperature for that wood and select the tip to begin with.

This picture is a fine exam[ple of how the right piece of wood makes all the difference! The shape of this wood made a guitar picture a natural! The burl woodgrain of the myrtlewoo is spectacular This wood works especially well when adding color to the piece. This piece was fun to create, a total custom-piece, and finished beautifully!

Prior to any woodburning, each piece of wood is sanded down to a fine finish. The pieces are then air-blown and cleaned to remove any sawdust. After woodburning, the pieces are once again air-blown and prepared for finishing. Depending on the wood and art we select a warm or clear polyurethane for indoor pieces or a spar urethane for outd
